Our vision is to serve its faithful and the nation at large by communicating the joyful message of Christianity, reconciliation, hope, healing, and emphasizing Christian values for the building up of families, and promoting social harmonyin diversity on the basis of Christian love.
General
The Voice of Livingstonia (VoL) is a “Community Radio of Interest” registered by the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) on 10th August 2012 under licence number 00005. VoL started test transmissions on 19 January 2013 before it was officially launched on 16th November 2013.
VoL’s vision is to serve its faithful and the nation at large by communicating the joyful message of Christianity, reconciliation, hope, healing, and emphasizing Christian values for the building up of families, and promoting social harmony in diversity on the basis of Christian love
Its mission is to be a true Christian radio station where community and national needs, achievements and aspirations are promoted and articulated with a view to influence positive change and nation building.
Strategic Priorities
VoL has a Strategic Plan that spans 5 years, beginning January 2018 to December 2022. The plan has 3 key result areas as follows:
- To ensure Voice of Livingstonia radio is financially sustainable by 2022
- Locally generated income increased by 40% by 2022;
- VoL brand and visibility enhanced by 2022;
- To promote spiritual, economic, cultural and social development of the church and its people
- Spiritual growth and social harmony enhanced among targeted community by 2022;
- Quality of programming, sound output and coverage improved by 2022
- Development and implementation of research based and holistic programs improved by 2022;
- To promote efficiency and effectiveness of the radio station
- Board and management have adequate capacity for improved delivery of services, effectiveness and efficiency by 2022;
- Policies which promote efficiency and effectiveness developed and implemented by 2022;
